Camtasia is a program, which makes recording easy.
If you want to send how to do something to you're friend, you can just send a couple of screenshots. Or make a .txt file.
Camtasia makes it easier than both of that.

Couple of stuff Camtasia includes:

• New Screen Recording
  
• Recordable PowerPoint's
  
• No lag / disonnections if you're filming a online game.
  
• When downloading something, Camtasia doesn't stop the download.
  

And those are the basic stuff Camtasia can do.

I would give it 3/5, it lags a lot and also lags my comp. and the editing thing is hard to use.
Maybe i just suck at using it. lol.
