Atreyu - Lead Sails Paper Anchor

so...

I don't norrmally listen to heavy stuff like this, but... i decided that since theyre doing PRO REV and i'm going, i might as well know them. So, the first track, Doomsday, didn't give me high hopes. It was more of a song for metalheads. But, there was a good message behind the tuned down guitars and Alex's thrashing vocal. it was about one of his relatives dying while he was on tour. So, i decided to keep listening. Falling Down was a shocker. A metal version of Stray Cat Strut! And that wwas the big hit, too. Becoming The Bull. I thought it would be way too heavy because of the intro resembling Points Of Authority and Alex's anguished cry of "GOD!!" so, it wasn't the best song, but it was pretty good. it had a pretty good guitar part towards the end, but the other pet peeve i had with this song... the guitar was just a loop playing over and over, for the most part. When 2 are one was my #1. It had an equal level of shouting and singing, and it was prettty catchy.
Most of the other songs were hardcore metal, so by the end, i was shellshocked. Lead Sails (And A Paper Anchor) was a surprise. The story of the band while touring. A metal band doing a ballad. it was everything and more. And Alex actually sang on it. he's not the best singer, but his screams give me freaking headaches! He'd do best to shut up and play an instrument, or join some band where he would be more with his target audience. However, his fellow singer has an amazing voice. So... I Give "Lead Sails"
